Super Bowl XLV

Soccer is far more popular here than rugby. Although, there are about a dozen high school rugby teams in this area. My son's have all played soccer and there are usually 3 or more teams per age group.  I coached my oldest son's soccer team from the time he was 5 until he was 13. He stopped playing and did football for a couple of years and now rugby. I guess you lot across the pond would be proud.  [wink]

Wish we had more teams here in WA, there is a woman's league, but have not had a chance to go see them play.

Glad your son is playing Shane.

Football, sorry i mean "soccer" seems to be realy taking off in the US.  Over here we are always hearing of big name players that are getting on in there career moving over to the US.  Is it the "Beckham" effect ?

Just got home from some shopping.  Boy are the drivers eager to get home in time for the game!!  Totally crazy out there.

There's a saying that the most dangerous time in France is fifteen minutes to noon, because everyone is in a crazy hurry to get a table for lunch.  Well, I've been there and its tame compared to fifteen minutes before Superbowl in the US.

Hope everyone enjoys the game or whatever is on for you tonight!

So, who's as excited as I am that the Steelers are going to win the Super Bowl??  [tongue] Just having some fun, good luck to both teams especially the Packers, they're going to need it.

What an excellent game!!!
Sorry Brice.  [crying]
Two great classy teams. Lots of respect from both teams to the other.

So what you're saying Rick is that it's my fault for wishing the Packer luck, because they got really lucky. [tongue] No, I don't want to take anything away from them, they deserved to win.

Congrats to the cheese heads. I really thought the Steelers were going to pull it out in the end. Nothing to be ashamed of for the Steeler fans. They have won more Super Bowls than any other NFL team.

Now the Steeler fans can use their Terrible Towels as crying towels...

You got that right, lots of very depressed people here today.

As a very wise coach once said

You wouldn't have won if we'd beaten you. ~ Yogi Berra

As a person who usually roots for people rather than teams, I am glad to see that Roethlisberger didn't get another ring.  And I'm glad to see the self-serving monkey of Brett Favre finally taken off Aaron Rodgers' back.
