McFeely's has Selected Festool Drills on Clearance at 50%

I just tried to call too.  They must have taken the phone off the hook.  I will admit that I ordered one last night knowing that I was 99% sure, that I was going to be getting a refund.

Agree 100%.  If they only had a handful of Festool drills for sale, there was no need to dump them at 50% as I'm sure they could have sold them for a much smaller discount.  Instead, this reeks of fraud (i.e., not an innocent mistake) and I can't imagine that Festool allows an authorized retailer to do this.
 
Just got off the phone with Mcfeelys, my order is processed and being shipped.  I ordered the T12-3 yesterday at 6 pm.
 
It has been mentioned earlier on here that McFeely's has recently been acquired by another entity.  Perhaps this is a transitional mistake?

McFeely's changed ownership at the end of 2013. I had a special sale order get lost in the changeover. They honored the sale price for the items they had in stock. I got most of what I had ordered and the rest was refunded.

This sounds like a huge mistake as I have a hard time believing they would do this deliberately given the bad feelings it is causing.
 
Well who wants the bad news. They will not be fulfilling any orders for the discount products. I told them perhaps they should take down the page that is still allowing them to be sold and they said they have. Yet i can still get on there and buy them.

Wont be buying anything from these lot ever again. They also said it makes no difference when you ordered either. You could have been first with lowest order number but you aint getting it.
 
Only telling ya what the woman told me. She could be lying as she also said the site was no longer selling them but i can still added them to cart so they are lying about that.
 
I suspect that McFeely's might have received some Saturday morning feedback and that the sale was ill conceived from the start.

Its very rare these too good to be true deals work out. They seem more like a way to get a lot off attention to a site in a short amount of time with no expense. They just this second took the deals down but i bet a few thousand people took them up on this offer and a few hundred thousand more will go there to look.

I think the term is called a loss leader. They sell a couple of products at their cost and get the people poring in buying stuff at retail.

Chors im curious what was your order number and time stamp you got the email.

I got the email at 6.27pm and made the order at 6.30. order number was 6872

You can PM if you like seeings your order is gonna be fulfilled
 
Well looks like the Email confirmation was not my only issue last night. Looks like i was given a very late order number based on what Chors just posted me. He ordered after me and got the email after me too but got a much lower order number. Unless the order numbers don't work in sequence.
 
I've ordered from McFeely's before, but I'm disappointed at the signs of their new ownership.

Additionally, what happened to their website?
It used to be fairly clear and well-organized, but they've lost any sense of informational hierarchy.

Shane dosen't work there anymore, that's what happened.
 
I am one of the lucky ones. I ordered the T12+3 and selected UPS shipping. I spoke with Ashley this morning and confirmed the order was filled. My order at the website shows "in progress". I do still have  a couple of b/o items from January that they expect to ship next week. It seems to me they are about to get on top of there problems. We will see. I have used them for a very long time and would hate to see them close up.

If you in click on orders. My order says, OPEN,ship date 3-1-14 expected delivery 3-5-14. Shipping $1, Cause I'm cheap!
 
Yes, my order says "OPEN" too. But,  i spoke with a rep this morning that said that they are out of inventory and can not fill my order.  She needs to submit a form and the manager needs to sign it and send it in.  (An Amazon rep would have just credited back the card right there at the moment. ) She said that my refund will take a couple days.
I spoke with my bank rep who told me that for McFeely's to get their payment McFeely's has to submit a final authorization.  If they don't do this, then the pending withdrawal will expire this Thursday.
 
Just got off of the phone with them again. Order was I filled, they debited my card though!!! They say they will issue a return Monday.
