I own a TS75, Carvex and Domino. They work extremely well, accomplish tasks beyond the ability of other tools. But having them is an equal need and want for both hobby and paid projects.
I have zero plans of buying anymore Festool tools. I see no need to spend the premium over the excellent tools I already have. I own Bosch, Ryobi, Makita, Skil, Dewalt and the list goes on and on. A smorgasbord of tools from Amazon, HD and Lowes and beyond over the years. All those tools work great and my projects in no way suffer.
Sometimes I wonder what screw is loose in someone's head when I see they virtually own everything Festool makes.
I hope you're very happy with your cross section of tool brands ... I see no reason to turn to being insulting towards people that like to standardise on a premium provider and leverage the system approaches offered by Festool.
Just for reference, this site is the Festool Owner's Group home site. What sort of people would you expect to find here? Ryobi enthusiasts?
Oh lighten up. He simply stated an opinion. One that many, myself included, agree with. I like my Festools, but they don't trump everything else simply because they have a Festool label.
There are often a number of threads in FOG about Festool addiction. Some of them are quite silly in the dollars spent. These threads are akin to people with addictions for collecting designer shoes and handbags. So the comments above seem fitting.
Lastly, this site is for Festool Owners. I don't see anything that says you have to be a Festool addict or fanboy.
